{"id":177,"date":"2014-12-04T03:42:37","date_gmt":"2014-12-04T03:42:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.r-prins.com\/?p=177"},"modified":"2014-12-04T03:42:37","modified_gmt":"2014-12-04T03:42:37","slug":"pantoum-found-in-eric-garners-last-words","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.r-prins.com\/?p=177","title":{"rendered":"Pantoum Found in Eric Garner&#8217;s Last Words"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today,\u00a0the same day it\u00a0was announced that the police officer who choked Eric Garner to death will not be indicted, my\u00a0poem,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/entropymag.org\/bearing-witness-to-eric-garner-richard-prins\/\">&#8220;Pantoum Found in Eric Garner&#8217;s Last Words&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0went up on Entropy Magazine&#8217;s series of poems bearing witness to recent events of police brutality. I wrote it right after it happened back in July, and it&#8217;s saddening that it&#8217;s still relevant, that his command &#8220;this stops today&#8221; still hasn&#8217;t been\u00a0heeded.
